This top-down sock is worked in a traditional Estonian leaf lace.

The addition of purl stitches makes a lace pattern look more sophisticated while improving the fit. They also provide a nice little trick for grading—working the purl stitches through the back loop tightens up the fabric without requiring changes in the stitch count, and it’s undetectable in the look of the finished sock

Pattern is written so that it can be worked on DPNs, magic loop or 2 circulars, as you prefer. Foot and leg length are adjustable to fit.
