Design details

This beanie features a small delicate cable pattern and can be styled as either a classic or a slouchy beanie. To create the slouchy version, knit the cable section 8–16 rounds longer than indicated in the pattern.

The hat is worked from written instructions.

Size: to fit up to a size head circumference:
toddler - ca. 43 - 44 cm/ 16.9“- 17.3“,
child 1 - ca. 47 - 48 cm / 18.5“ - 18.8“,
child 2 - ca. 51 - 52 cm / 20“- 20.4“,
adult M - 55- 56 cm / - 21.6“- 22“,
adult L - 59-60 cm / - 23“ - 24,4“.

YARN
Every Fingering and Sport weight yarn will work.

For example: Rowan Fine Tweed, fingering (14 wpi), 98 yards (90 meters) /25 grams (0.88 ounces) with GGH Kid, Lace, 65% Goat – Mohair, 30% Nylon / Polyamide, 5% Wool, 273 yards (250 meters) / 25 grams (0.88 ounces).

Yarn usage, one thread of each quality, Fingering and Kid Lace for a classic beanie:

Toddler - 164 yards/ 150 m,
Child 1 and child 2 - 196 yards / 180 m,
Adult M - 218 yards/ 200 m,
Adult L – 250 yards/ 230 m.

For the the slouchy version: Add an extra 1/4 to the total yarn requirement for your size.
