This squishy, cozy cowl is a great way to experiment with colour. Knit with the yarn held triple, you can create your own wearable work of art in just a few short evenings.

The Olio Cowl pattern is suitable for a beginner and requires basic knitting skills: casting on, knitting, binding off. Finishing requires mattress or Kitchener stitch.

Gauge is not critical (it’s a tube: as long as it fits over your head, it’s ok), but will affect the final size and yarn requirements.

Our samples were made with one Olio Cowl Kit from Gauge Dye Works: 8 x 25 g (0.9 oz) fingering weight mini skeins in a variety of yarn bases. But this pattern is also ideal for using up your leftovers and combining self-striping, gradient, and/or variegated colourways.

This pattern is included in the purchase of a mini skein kit from Gauge Dye Works.
