This pattern includes the following languages:
- English (US terms)
- Danish
SIZE
The finished olive branch has a stem measuring approx. 30 cm (11.8 inches), with the leaves and olives extending beyond the stem. Each leaf measures approx. 6 cm (2.4 inches) in length.
YARN
The olive branch is made using 8/4 cotton yarn. You can use any brand you like, but this pattern was made using Lammy Cotton 8/4.
For one olive branch you will need approximately:
- Light green: approx. 3 g (olives)
- Dark green: approx. 4-5 g (leaves and stem) Note: You can use any cotton yarn with a similar weight. Using different yarn or hook sizes will change both the finished size and yarn consumption.
YOU WILL ALSO NEED
- A very small amount of stuffing
- 1 thick floral wire, 30 cm (11.8 inches), 2 mm thick
- 4 thin floral wires, 30 cm (11.8 inches), 0.6 mm thick (cut in half to make 8 pieces)
- Hot glue gun
CROCHET HOOK
2.0 mm (US B-1)
If you normally use a different hook size with your chosen yarn, you can do so. Please note that the finished size and yarn usage may vary. Check your gauge if needed.
CROCHET GAUGE
10 cm (4 inches) = 24 single crochet stitches
If you have fewer than 24 stitches over 10 cm, use a smaller hook.
If you have more than 24 stitches over 10 cm, use a larger hook.
STITCHES
The following stitches are used in this pattern.
(A complete list of stitches and abbreviations is also included in the pattern.)
- Single crochet
