Ollie the Bird is a quick, low-sew amigurumi pattern featuring an adorable, customizable bird dressed as a mail carrier! His hat, messenger bag, and tiny love letter make him the perfect little courier for your collection.

You may use any yarn you have on hand.
I used Premier Parfait Chunky in:
Acorn – ⅓ skein (Body)
Light Blue – ¼ skein (Hat & Bag)
Mustard – ¼ skein (Beak & Feet)
Scraps of:
White (Letter)
Cardinal (Heart)
Classic Blue (Strap)
Ballet Pink (Blush)

Tools

5.5 mm, 5 mm, and 4.5 mm hooks
(Use any 2–3 hooks that suit your yarn/tension; the smallest hook only affects the letter size.)
Yarn needle
Stitch markers
Scissors
Ami sticks / sewing pins
Polyfil stuffing
Black embroidery thread

This is an Intermediate level pattern. For any stitch demonstrations, please search the name of the stitch on YouTube!
Most of this pattern is worked in continuous rounds. I would recommend using a stitch marker in the first stitch of each round. Some pieces are worked in rows.
This pattern requires almost no sewing. Most pieces are attached by holding the piece to the body and crocheting through both pieces. When sewing anything, I typically use a whip stitch. I would recommend using pins and ami sticks to hold your pieces into place as you sew.
