Olympic Cowl
The Olympic Cowl is the ideal project to learn stranded colorwork. It calls for two colors and does not go more than 3 stitches before changing colors which means you don’t have to worry about catching floats.
It is the perfect stash buster. The main color uses approximately 130 yards of yarn and the contrasting color uses approximately 80. I have suggested yarns however the magic is that you can choose whatever fingering weight yarn you want or have on hand.
It works best with a soft yarn such as alpaca, qiviut, or a soft peruvian wool.
