This is a great beginner’s pattern for stranded work. The pattern includes written instructions as well as a chart. You will need 2 colors - approx 130 yards for the main color and approx 85 yards for the contrasting color. Because of the amount of yarn, it is ideal for stash busting!

I suggest using a sock yarn that a little elasticity to it. The two yarns that are suggested knit up beautifully. However, I have made this headband many times with regular wool or acrylic yarn and it works fine.
