Since I live in the heartland of the U.S.A., I made this little house to celebrate the U.S. Olympic team. If you live in another country, I hope this pattern will inspire you to customize the Olympic Lodge House to show your country’s colors! I would love to receive photos of your completed Olympic Lodge House! Email me at: FiftyFourTenStudio@gmail.com.

“The Little House” knitting pattern includes lots of photos and detailed instructions to make all versions of The Little House shown in the photos in this listing.

There are numerous ways you can personalize your little house to make a truly one-of-a-kind gift to celebrate a new baby, an adoption, a baby’s first Christmas, a wedding, a first home, a new home, Christmas, Valentine’s Day and the Olympics! Your little houses (it’s impossible to make just one!) will be a cute bookshelf or kitchen decoration…or tie a small piece of ribbon through the roof to create a hanging ornament.

SKILL LEVEL: Easy/Intermediate. This pattern is tutorial style and includes LOTS of photos with step-by-step instructions. I have assumed that you know how to cast-on stitches, knit & purl confidently, cast off stitches, knit two stitches together, sew up simple seams and have some basic hand sewing experience. Detailed instructions provided for all other steps which may be new to you.

MATERIALS NEEDED: Size 5 knitting needles, worsted weight yarn - 25 yards house color & 15 yards roof color (I used stash yarn for the Olympic Lodge and Berroco Vintage or Brown Sheep Lamb’s Pride Worsted for the other houses), stitch markers, felt (wool or wool blend) in desired colors for appliqué designs, DMC embroidery floss in desired colors, tapestry needle, embroidery needle, tracing paper & other basic crafting supplies.

QUESTIONS: If you have any questions before purchasing, send me an e-mail. I am happy to answer any questions you have when using the pattern. I want you to be successful!
