This pattern uses a traditional double crochet stitch grounded by a chain in the center of the möbius design.  Twisting the chain once before joining keeps the pattern moving constantly with no apparent beginning or end.  

You can create a longer chain in the beginning based on your own wishes.  A long chain means a large continuous circle you can twist to double it around your neck or just make it short for a single loop around the neck.
