The On edge cowl….
Knitted from the bottom up with a two color stranded knitting motif sporting some intriguing angular lines. Moving on in the single color top part, stitches knitted together create a left leaning decrease and a simple stockinette rolled neckline edge finishes up this cowl.

The bottom circumference measures 41” and it is 14” tall. The neckline is 20” around though it stretches being knitted with the stretchy bind off method.

Yarn used
2 skeins of Bambon, a blend of bamboo/ cotton in a DK weight. 154 yards a skein. Two contrasting colors.

Notions needed
US size 9 (5.5 mm) circular needle, 20” (51 cm) in length.
4 Stitch markers, one being different to mark beginning or round.
Darning needle or crochet hook for finishing.

Gauge: Stranded portion- 7 sts and 8 rows in 2” of Stockinette stitch. Single color portion measures 7 sts and 9 rows in 2”.

Techniques applied
Knitted in the round, color changes, stranded knitting, decreasing, stretchy bind off, weaving in ends and optional blocking.
