I’m excited to bring you an on-the-go checkerboard! It’s perfect for at home use, long road trips, or even on a plane! This pattern features buttons that you can attach your checker pieces to so they don’t fall off while you’re on-the-go. You can roll it or fold it up to take up less storage space, and for easier carrying. Another feature is a backing that will hold all of your pieces when you are not using the checkerboard, and it can also hold an optional plastic mesh canvas to keep it flat when not using on a table. The only stitches you need to know are single crochet, and slip stitch! There is also a couple photo tutorials for adding the buttons, and the crochet backing.

This pattern is one size and is about 12” x 12”. There are brief instructions for making it smaller or bigger depending on your preference.

You will need two colors of yarn #4 worsted weight, I used Hobby Lobby’s I Love This Yarn, and Red Heart super saver. Also you will need a 5mm H crochet hook. A threading needle is optional for weaving in your ends.
