One Cardigan
You can now purchase the One Cardigan pattern as part of a kit in our online store. There are four kits available that include the PDF pattern and a DK-weight yarn of your choice: One Cardigan Kit (Acadia), One Cardigan Kit (Arranmore Light), One Cardigan Kit (Lore), or One Cardigan Kit (Luma).
One Cardigan by Sarah Hatton is another staple addition to The Fibre Co.’s much loved One Series, which centres on the idea of a single garment worn and loved by people of all ages, from all walks of life. This beginner-friendly cardigan is knit seamlessly in one piece from the top down using raglan shaping. The pattern is offered over 15 sizes from age 1–2 through to fit a 162 cm (64 in) chest, and with the option of a shorter or longer length for the adult sizes. This versatile, gender-inclusive cardigan, available in four luxury natural fibre yarns, is the perfect addition to your handmade wardrobe.

Construction notes:
A timeless gender-inclusive cardigan knitted in one piece from the top down, which features classic raglan detailing. Sleeve stitches are put on hold and then the sleeves are worked in the round after the body is complete. The button band is picked up and finished last. The pattern is offered over 15 sizes from age 1–2 through to fit a 162 cm (64 in) chest, and with the option of a shorter or longer length for the adult sizes.

Recommended ease:
The child sizes are designed with 5–10 cm (2–4 in) of positive ease. Adult sizes 1 to 9 have 1–10 cm (0.25–4 in) of positive ease depending on the size. For a fitted look please select a size nearer to your own body measurements; for a more relaxed fit we suggest nearer to the 10 cm (4 in) positive ease.
Gauge:
21 sts and 31 rows to 10 cm (4 in) measured over st st after blocking using 4mm (US 6) needles.
Needles and notions required:
3.75mm (US 5) circular needle or double-pointed needles for working a small circumference in the round
3.75mm (US 5) 40–100 cm (16–40 in) circular needle
3.75mm (US 5) 100–150 cm (40–60 in) circular needle for working the buttonband
4mm (US 6) 40–100 cm (16–40 in) circular needle
