This knit square pattern is inspired by Carly Fortune’s novel, “One Golden Summer”. It’s a simple knit/purl pattern with a four garter stitch border.

I recommend to use 10 colors of DK or Worsted weight yarn with 9 mm needles. I know it sounds like a lot of colors, but it’s manageable! The pattern will indicate when you are finished with a color. This pattern is non-reversible. Other than the borders, odd rows will be the “right side” and even rows will be the “wrong side”.
