I don’t like knitting ‘pieces’ or ‘parts’ of sweaters. I like to be able to knit one article with minimum seaming, which is why I created this pattern. The back and front are knit (Garter St) in one piece and then the sleeves are cast on to the shoulders and knit to the cuffs. The hood is cast on around the neck and knit upward. The edging is also cast on the front right, around the hood, and the left front in one piece. When all the knitting is completed, simply sew up the sides and fold the hood in half and sew that (or experienced knitters may want to complete the hood in a Kitchener stitch).

Knit either in a solid color or mix it up a little and get creative with the colors.

This little hoodie will fit most 0-3 month old babies, and the yarn used is machine washable and dryable (or lay flat to dry), which is great for those busy new moms!
