This stitch pattern presents a bit of a challenge, but I think the result is worth the effort. Sizing the width of the shoulders is decidedly limited since it is aesthetically necessary to have them end in midpattern. To accommodate a width between fourteen and nineteen inches, I enlarged the stitch pattern and used fewer repeats for that size. The overall effect is the same, and sizing the rest of the sweater is no problem since all changes are made in the plain side panels. Just make those side panels whatever size you need them to be, and decrease all the stitches before you reach the shoulder. You can also put a short-row bust dart in the side panels if that would please you.
