Light and airy: The ONYO tee is the ultimate staple for your summer wardrobe. A perfect basic pattern for a solid or striped tee and a great canvas for hand-dyed yarns. Combining a circular yoke and raglan construction, it comfortably follows your silhouette without feeling restrictive. A timeless design for anyone who loves knitting with fine needles and exquisite fibers.
The tee is knitted top-down, starting with a provisional cast-on to work a folded collar, followed by a circular yoke and raglan increases.

Extra rows at the back and short rows, which ensure a perfect fit for the neckline, are worked in 2 steps after the yoke is complete. This makes the double stitches less visible as they are hidden at the underarm instead of being placed prominently around the neckline, and it allows you to knit stripes without any interruptions.
After separation, the body and sleeves are worked in stockinette stitch in the round, finished with folded hem and cuffs.

Sizing is a guide only and you should pick the size whose finished measurements are closest to the wearer’s body measurements plus 5–15 cm (2–6 inches) of positive ease.

Sample 1, size 2 (96.5 cm (38 inches)), is shown on an 86 cm (33.75 inches) bust circumference (approx. 10 cm (4 inches) of positive ease). The person in the photo is 156 cm (5 feet 1 inch) tall and the side length of the tee is slightly cropped (25 cm (9.75 inches)).

NEEDLES
Circular needles to obtain gauge; recommended needle sizes: 3 mm (US 2.5) and 2.5 mm (US 1.5) with a length of at least 80 cm (32 inches)

GAUGE
27 sts x 36 rows = 10 x 10 cm (4 x 4 inches) in stockinette stitch, with larger needle size, blocked

METRES NEEDED

Amounts stated are calculated generously (with enough in hand for swatches and adjustments) for a side length of 30 (30 / 30) (32 / 32 / 34) (36 / 36 / 36) cm ((11.75 (11.75 / 11.75) (12.5 / 12.5 / 13.5) (14.25 / 14.25 / 14.25) inches) (which is longer than the side length of sample 1 shown – 25 cm (9.75 inches)).

Yardage may vary slightly depending on your knitting style and the yarn you are using! Always have a bit more in stock to be on the safe side.
