Opaline Socks
Pronunciation: Opal-een
These lovely cable socks were born out of a desire for a more engaging small project. They could be described as “business in the front, party in the back”.
The pattern is written to be worked toe up on magic loop but can easily be worked on small-circumference circulars, dpns or whatever your preference is.
Although this pattern is cabled, a cable needle can be used but is not required.
The length of the foot is based on your individual foot measurement.
The centre cable is flanked by two matching and slightly different cables but use the same type of slipped/cabled stitch. Modify as you wish by working the same cable for all three columns, making it easier to memorize.
Best knit in a solid or tonal regular fingering weight yarn to really see the beautiful cables.
