This is the perfect pattern for your college student, faculty member or athlete as it can be knit in the “exact” school colors. KnitPal dyes the exact pantone for the appropriate college/university. The KnitPal website can be found here: https://knitpal.com/collections/yarn

The Open Checkerboard Cowl is knit in two colors and is knitted flat as an asymmetrical triangle. It is later joined with stitches, buttons or just tied to allow the drape to be fully adjustable. Instructions for finishing are included in the pattern. It includes garter, eyelet and chain sections (created with slipped stitches).

Color A should be used for the primary color and requires approximately 130 yards (119 meters). Color B should be used for the secondary color and requires approximately 140 yards (128 meters).

The right Edge of the Cowl is 36 inches/91.4 cms
The cast on edge of the cowl is 23 inches/58.4 cms

The left edge of the cast on edge will be joined to the bind off edge with a button to achieve the desired circumference.
