Open Fields
Have you ever looked out on an open field of wildflowers? The beauty, peace, and stillness is so inviting. Add in a beautiful sunset, and you have a perfect remedy for what ails you! Here’s a lap blanket that you can create to keep that remedy near whenever you need it.
This pattern uses Tunisian Crochet. Don’t worry, it’s not hard, and you’ll get the hang pretty quickly, but you can always look up a few tutorials if you’re nervous about it. In short, you’ll pick up loops in each stitch across the row on the forward (Fwd) pass and then use up those loops on the return (Rtn) pass. Those stitches have to be held on the hook, so you’ll want a really long hook or, and probably preferably, a hook with a cable attachment like those from ChiaoGoo that attach to the same cables that ChiaoGoo Interchangeable knitting needles use.
The border uses traditional crochet.
