Open Horizon
Do you love surprises? The 2026 Woolenberry Shawl Club is open!
The 2026 Shawl Club includes four shawl patterns, released one by one in February, May, August, and November.
You can join the club by purchasing the collection here. The price includes all four shawl patterns and is a one-time purchase.
By joining now, you’ll receive the first patterns, First Light and Open Horizon, immediately as you purchase. Then, you’ll get an email with a download link as soon as each new Shawl Club pattern goes live.
This pattern is exclusive to the 2026 Woolenberry Shawl Club.
Open Horizon is what lace knitting feels like when it all clicks.
Watching the diamonds take shape is oddly satisfying, and every garter stitch stripe arrives like a little exhale. It’s the kind of rhythm that turns an evening into a late night with zero regrets.
This bias rectangle shawl is a great skill-builder for adventurous lace-beginners, and a relaxing project for seasoned pros. It works beautifully in anything from lace weight to fingering, which means it’s perfect for that one yarn you’ve been saving for something worthy.
Wide and sweeping or narrow and refined, the size is yours to decide. Open Horizon goes as far as you take it.
YARN
One skein of Isager Spinni (100% Wool; 600 m / 656 yds per 100 g).
Or approximately 510 m / 560 yds of similar lace to light-fingering weight yarn.
NEEDLES
Size 4 mm / US 6 needles or size to obtain pattern gauge
Although you work this shawl flat, I recommend using 80–100 cm / 32–40 inch circular needles to accommodate the large number of stitches.
FINISHED SIZE After blocking
Width: 50 cm / 20 in
Length: 148 cm / 58 in
The pattern includes instructions to modify the width and length.
