This cowl pattern has been designed to show the beautiful texture of the yarn, and is great for single ply or handspun yarn.

I personally like cowls a little bit more fitted around the neck than they usually are, to keep me warmer during winter, but you can easily adapt this pattern to a larger cowl by casting on an additional 12 or multiple of 12 stitches.
