This striking pattern is an openwork ripple stitch.
It is an intermediate level pattern that produces impressive results.
The pattern is suitable for a girl or boy.
A great way to showcase a beautiful yarn you have in your stash.
This pattern is fun to make.
Make it in all white for a beautiful gender neutral christening blanket.

What you get:
I want you to succeed in making this blanket and Love It.
The PDF includes a detailed 21-page tutorial with 63 step-by-step photos to walk you through and show you exactly where to stitch.
I would rate this an intermediate level crochet pattern.
It reads like a friend explaining how to make the blanket.
Pattern repeat is included so that it can be made virtually any size.
The stitches used in this pattern are DC2TOG, DC3TOG, DC4TOG, double crochet, single crochet and chain stitches.

Pattern is written in US terms.
A chart is included in the pattern for UK/AUS including crochet terms, yarn weights and hook sizes.

If you are like me you choose a blanket by the stitch/pattern first and not the size.
Did you ever see a blanket you really Love but the pattern is for a baby blanket?
Or it is baby blanket size and you want to make a large afghan.
Not a problem here….Every one of my patterns includes the pattern repeat so that you can make it ANY size.

For the Navy and White Blanket I used Big Twist Yarn. It measures 44”W x x 54” L. (111cm Wide x 137 cm Long)

The Pink, Cream and Green Blanket was made by my mother (pattern tester)
She used Big Twist Chunky yarn, Bulky Weight Yarn. She chose the colors to match her living room sofa.
It measure 56”W x 45” L (142cm Wide x 114cm Long).
Colors Used: Chunky Natural, Chunky Sea breeze, Chunky Cotton Candy.
