Operculum: ‘cover’ or ‘lid’, a Latin term from zoology and human anatomy, also used for the Victorian cast iron coalhole covers which punctuate the pavements of central London. Inspired by the striking graphic designs of these circular coalhole covers, this beret/tam features repeating bands of simple colourwork, knitted with two contrasting shades of KDD Milarrochy Tweed (or another fingering/4-ply yarn).

You will need less than 2 balls for the Main Colour, and less than 1 ball for the Contrast Colour.
