This cardigan was inspired by my love of working top-down, with little touches of elegance, but not too fancy. I wanted something that could take me from the office to T-Ball practice without looking out of place.

Ophelia is a versatile top-down raglan cardigan that can take you from early Fall with just a short sleeve underneath to deep Winter with a long-sleeve tee to late Spring with just a tank top. The pattern is easy to follow with just enough details to keep you busy.

While the cardigan is worked mostly in one piece in Stockinette stitch, it has a touch of femininity with inlay of zigzag lace down the fronts and is trimmed in seed stitch along the neckline, cuff, hemline, and button-bands. The seed stitch trim can easily be substituted for garter stitch. The cardigan can easily be worn with either negative or positive ease. You decide.
