Opidori the skunk
With this very detailed pattern, you can make a super realistic skunk amigurumi. This .pdf crochet pattern is written in standard American crochet terms.
This is a moderate pattern made with basic stitches. The difficulty lies in attaching the paws. Instructions for working up the body are well explained. The head and tail are sewn on.
Size
If you use the recommended yarn, your skunk will be 6 inch / 15 cm long and high from feet to end of tail.
Materials
Istex Lètt Lopi: black (0059, 1 skein), natural white (0051, 1 skein) and a left-over bit of any brown. Istex Einband Lopi is optional for second tail option: black (0059, 1 skein) and white (0851, 1 skein)
8 mm animal safety eyes
stuffing materials like fiberfil or wool bolas
a pipe-cleaner for the tail is optional
The crochet pattern contains
An intro with useful info. List of materials, tools and accessories needed. Brand and colour numbers of the needed yarn. A clear and colour coded description of how to crochet and assemble the animal, with instruction images next to the text and example pictures at the bottom to help you get everything right. All my patterns are text edited for correct English and have been tested by experienced crocheters before publishing.
Yarn
I strongly recommend using a fuzzy yarn because it gives the best result.
Gauge is unimportant for this pattern. If the pieces are crocheted tightly enough, they will not gape visibly when stuffed. You can make a little test swap to be sure.
