This textured pullover features an engaging, geometric cable stitch pattern. The construction is top-down, beginning with a cast on of the stitches for the back. The shoulders are shaped with short rows and the back is worked back and forth down to the underarm. The front shoulder sts are picked up from the back and the front is also worked back and forth down to the underarm with shoulder and neck shaping. Once there, the back and front are joined in the round. Sleeve stitches are picked up and worked in the round. The double- folded neckband is picked up and worked in the round in the finishing
Skills required:
Working in the round including a small circumference, increasing and decreasing, simple cables, German short rows, picking up sts, knitted cast on, backward loop cast on, reading charts (see note below).

Recommended ease:
4” - 10” / 15 – 30.5 cm. Choose a size that is 4” / 10 cm to 10” / 25.5 cm larger than your actual bust size.
Sample is size 4 with 10”/ 25.5 cm of positive ease.
Yarn:
DK or Worsted weight yarn.
Sample was worked in: Cape May Fiber Dk Merino Superwash (100% Superwash Merino Wool – 231 yds per 100 g skein) in color Muir: 5 (5, 5, 6, 6) (7, 7, 7, 8) skeins.
Approximate yarn amounts:
929 (1005, 1075, 1190, 1308) (1402, 1428, 1603, 1731) yds
Note: Amount shown is just an estimate and could vary depending on the fiber used and personal tension.
Needles:
Main needle: US size 7 (4.5 mm) 24”/ 61 cm or longer, 16” / 40.5 cm circular and needles preferred for working a small circumference in the rnd - or size needle needed to obtain the correct gauge.
Edging needle: US size 5 (3.75 mm) 24”/ 61 cm or longer, 16” / 40.5 cm circular and needles preferred for working a small circumference in the rnd - or needle two sizes smaller than the main needle.
Gauge:
24 sts and 28 rows = 4”/ 10 cm in cable st pattern and 20 sts and 28 rows = 4” in Stockinette, after blocking on main needle.
Notions:
Cable needle, removable st markers, st holder or scrap yarn.
Note: Instructions for the cable pattern are provided in both written and charted formats, however, there is one section of the front neck shaping that is provided in chart format only.
