Stop violence against women. It’s not too much to ask, but still very necessary. Although Orange the World is only in november, I released this pattern today so you can start crocheting and speak up against violence against women.

You can make a pin, earrings, attach it to a flyer or a card with a conversation starter about the subject. You can make a necklace or leave these hands ✋️ somewhere in the public space. Or… what would you do with a crocheted hand? Leave your idea in the comments and let’s inspire one another!

The United Nations Secretary-General launched in 2008 the campaign, UNiTE by 2030 to End Violence against Women. The signature colour of the campaign is orange. As a bright and optimistic colour, orange represents a future free from violence against women and girls.

Every year there are 16 days of activism against Gender-Based Violence, which kicks off on 25 November, the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women, and runs until 10 December, Human Rights Day.
Lend a hand!
