YARN

Poncho:
Morris & Sons Maya 100% Baby Alpaca 8 Ply - 300g 6 balls (50g = 100m)
Held together with Morris & Sons Estate 100% Wool 4 Ply - 155g
4 balls (50g = 200m)

Fringe:
Yarn amounts vary due to personal choice with fringe placement/amount.

Sample used:
Morris & Sons Maya 100% Baby Alpaca 8 Ply - 100g 2 balls (50g = 100m)

This pattern can be worked with any yarn weight, although I recommend a 10ply gauge. For the intended look, choose a yarn with nice drape, such as an alpaca–wool blend. A drapey fabric will allow the poncho to fall and relax over the shoulders.
Avoid yarns with too much structure or working at a very tight gauge, as these will create a stiffer fabric and won’t achieve the same relaxed shape.
