This warm and snuggly garter stitch shawl is knit in 3 colors. It begins as a sideways knit scarf. Then stitches are picked up along the bottom edge and knit down in stripes. Finish with a ruffle and applied I-cord along the neckline edge. Finished size: 54” wide x 20” deep (unblocked) Blocking isn’t necessary. You’ll need 3 colors of yarn, preferably a light, a medium and a dark color that work together. Color 1 uses about 334 yards, color 2 about 132 yards, and color 3 about 78 yards.
