Origami Turkish Socks
Note from designer:
An alternative way to start, which gives a much stretchier top to the cuff, is to do a row of foundation double crochet (US terms) or fdc instead of the pattern’s chain and row of dc. I learned this after the pattern was published, and have since made several pairs with the fdc start. They’re even more comfortable and easier to get on the foot.
