From the pattern:

Doily requires one bunch of ric-rac about 1/2 inch size. For the model I used Ivory thread size 20, about 100 yds. and gold metallic ric-rac

A doily in 16 rounds which features:
chain in chain
filled chains
gold 1/2” rick rack
shell in shell
tr cluster stitches

Editors notes: this is the only Elizabeth Hiddleson pattern this editor has seen where she uses ric-rac (rick rack) trim in the doily pattern.
The January 1967 issue does not have her regular “Let’s Crochet” article. Ms. Hiddleson’s article is typically in towards the front of the issue however this pattern is in the back.

Raveller manwithyarn used 200 yds of crochet thread rather than 100 yds as noted in the pattern. This may be an error in the printing of the pattern.
