Orin was born from an obsession: capturing the perpetual movement of the waves in knitwear.

Orin is a sleeveless vest worked from the top down without seams. Start by working the back in a textured stitch.
Additional stitches are added to gradually shape the bottom of the armholes. Then pick up stitches at the shoulders to work each front piece separately. Back and fronts shoulders are shape with short rows to lengthen the garment and improve fit and comfort.
The back and fronts are then joined and worked together continuing in the textured stitch. All finishing is done in I-cord. You can work it with or without pockets.

For a version without pockets, subtract 20 m / 22 yards from the indicated yardage.

Gauge
• 17 sts x 32 rows in textured stitch (see chart in Appendix p9) on larger needles, after blocking. (recommended)
• 17 sts x 22 rounds = 10x10 cm/ 4x4 inches of Stockinette stitch on larger needles, after blocking. (for guidance only)

In the pattern, all key measurements are given in cm and inches. As long as the differences remain reasonable, choose a swatch with the correct number of sts (width).

Needles
• 5.5 mm US 9 circular needles for the body and sleeves.
• 3.25 mm US 3 circular needles for finishing.

Always use a needle size that gives you the right gauge, adjust if necessary.

Orin est naît d’une obsession, capturer en maille le mouvement perpétuel de la houle.

Orin est un gilet sans manche qui se tricote du haut vers le bas (top-down) sans couture ajusté aux épaules.
On commence par réaliser le dos, en tricotant en point texturé. Des mailles supplémentaires sont ajoutées pour former progressivement le bas des emmanchures.
Vous allez ensuite relever des mailles aux épaules pour venir former, l’un après l’autre, chacun des demi-devant. Dos et devants sont ensuite réunis et tricotés ensemble en aller-retour toujours en point texturé. L’ensemble des finitions sont faites en icord. Vous pouvez le tricoter avec ou sans poche.

Nécessite un fil ou un mélange de fil de type Worsted à Aran.

Le modèle de présentation a été tricoté:
en Puno de Gepard, 68 % baby alpaga, 10% mérinos sans mulesing, 22% Polyamide (110 m/50g), couleur: n°714 et couleur n° ? pour la couleur contrastante.

Métrages
environ (535, 595, 630) 737, 785, 850 (885, 955, 1010, 1085) m.

Pour une version sans poche, retirer 20 m au métrage indiqué.

Échantillon 
• 17 mailles x 32 rangs en point texturé (cf. diagramme en Annexe p9) pour un carré tricoté de 10 cm par 10 cm après blocage. (recommandé)
• 17 mailles x 22 rangs en jersey pour un carré tricoté de 10 cm par 10 cm après blocage. (indicatif)

Dans le patron, toutes les mesures clefs sont indiquées en cm. Tant que l’écart reste raisonnable, privilégier un échantillon correct en nombre de mailles (largeur).

Matériels 
• Aiguille circulaire en 5,5 mm ou de la taille nécessaire pour obtenir le bon échantillon.
• Aiguille circulaire en 3,25 mm pour les finitions des manches et de l’encolure.

Utilisez toujours une taille d’aiguille qui vous permet d’obtenir le bon échantillon, au besoin, ajustez-la.
