The Orphic Cardigan is knitted seamlessly top down from the shoulders. First, the back panel is worked down to the armpits, then stitches are picked up from the shoulder, and front panels are knitted top down. The front panels and the back panel are connected, and the rest of the body is knitted in pattern and finished off in rib. Then stitches are picked up along the side of the right panel, the back and the left panel and the side rib is worked. The sleeves are worked in the round in pattern and finished off with rib.
Optional: a chain is worked along the inner edge of the side rib with a 4,5 – 5 mm hook.

The Orphic Cardigan is designed to have approximately 30 cm / 11,8 inches of positive ease, meaning it is designed to be approx. 30 cm / 11,8 inches larger in circumference than your bust measurement. The sizes XS (S) M (L) XL (2XL) 3XL (4XL) are designed to fit a bust circumference of 80-85 (85-90) 90-95 (95-105) 105-112 (112-122) 122-135 (135-145) cm / 30,5 –33,5 (33,5-35,5) 35,5-37,5 (37,5-41,3) 41,3-44 (44-48) 48-53 (53-57) inches.
There is an option to adjust the length of the cardigan and the length of the sleeves. There will be notes about that in the pattern.

In the pictures, the cardigan is modelled on a size M with 29 cm positive ease. The measurements of the model are: bust - 95 cm / 37,5 inches; hips - 107 cm / 42 inches.
