Skills required
This is an easy pattern which requires you to work basic stitches, including a classic cable and has very simple shaping and finishing.

Materials required
You will need:

• 1 pair each of 9mm (US 13) and 12mm (US 17) straight needles
• a cable needle and a tapestry needle for sewing.

Tension
• 10.5 sts x 11.5 rows to 10 x 10cm (4 x 4in) in cable and rib pattern
using 12mm (US17) needles.

Suggested yarn
Rowan ‘Big’ 100% Merino Wool Roving – 1 ball = approx 80m/87yds
(100g). You could use any super chunky weight yarn. When substituting yarn always do a tension swatch before beginning your work.
