Novelty yarn – it’s often the type of yarn you have in your stash accidentally and have no idea what to do with it… Why not transform it into something seriously cute? This pattern will help you create a classic teddy bear with just a little fuzzy twist only some novelty yarn can give. Oh, and grab also that tiny little ball of yarn, hanging out in your stash for too long, to make the muzzle and soles.

Materials:
- yarn: worsted novelty yarn in beige (I used boucle) – 76m/83yd
DK yarn in tan – 8m/8.7yd

While choosing the same yarn weight and getting the exact gauge is not crucial here, you need to make sure that your novelty yarn is slightly thicker than your contrasting yarn.

  • needles: 2.5mm, circular (32”/80cm)
  • stuffing
  • 9 mm safety eyes or 2 black beads
  • sewing needle
  • scissors
  • black yarn scraps for embroidery
