Oshara Shawl Mystery Knit-A-Long in the Susanna IC group - June 2018

Oshara is my classic top-down short row crescent shawl worked in a combination of easy slip-stitch colorwork, beginner-friendly lace, and simple garter stitch. The combination of the different elements makes this an interesting and fun-to-knit project that will just fly off your needles.

Oshara is a generously-sized shawl shaped into a crescent with a set of easy short rows worked in garter stitch, so the wraps can be left in place, unworked, hidden within the texture. The lace and the colorwork patterns are simple enough even for an advanced beginner knitter because they include only basic stitches and the wrong side rows are purled.

This free Mystery will be presented in four weekly installments on the Interweave blog through the month of June - first clue will be published on Tuesday, June 5th. I wrote four guest blog posts with tutorials to accompany each portion of the pattern to help walk you through the knitting process. You can join the discussion and show off your project in the dedicated MKAL threads that can be found in my Ravelry group.

Special Cascade Yarns kits are now available in the Interweave online store. You can see the three color choices in the photos on the left.

Yarn (because of the interplay of the four colors, solid-colored yarns will work best for this project):

Color B (Cascade Sorata in Silver) 1 skein (275 yards)
Color C (Cascade Sorata in Charcoal) 1 skein (225 yards)
