Osmosis is an asymmetrical triangular-shaped shawl that is worked in garter stitch with alternating lace sections inspired by traditional Shetland lace motifs. The lace pattern is easy to memorize!! Large sections of color blending shift the hues in a gradual manner.

Buy 2 get 1 free! Place 3 of my patterns in your cart and the 3rd (least expensive) will be free! No code needed. Happy knitting!

Charts and written instructions are included for both of the lace charts.

The shawl is knit in five colors. To best reveal the lace pattern, lightly speckled, semi-solid or tonal variegated colorways work best but choose whatever makes you happy! The sample shown was knit with Hedgehog Fibres Sock yarn (approximately 1260 yd/1154 m total):

Color A - Poppy - 100 yds/92 m
Color B - Monarch - 180 yds /165 m
Color C - Pinky Swear - 320 yds/ 293 m
Color D - Secret - 380 yds/348 m
Color E - Truffle - 280 yds/ 256 m
