The first verse of “Östgötasången“ beautifully describes how the vast plain of Östergötland looks in the summer. It was on an August day over 35 years ago that I moved here to begin my engineering studies at the university. Östergötland is a beautiful landscape where you can find many hidden gems, such as the unique oak landscape south of Linköping with its surrounding lakes, the deep forests of Kolmården, and the idyllic Göta Canal, where I often take walks. There is so much to see here, and I still have much left to discover. Perhaps Östergötland could be your next holiday destination?
