Ostinato is a top down, seamless pullover in a simple lace pattern. The ostinato pullover is started on the back. First, the shoulders are shaped in short rows, then the entire back is worked with an all-over lace pattern.
Additional stitches are casted on to gradually form the bottom of the armholes to improve the comfort and fit of your project. Stitches are picked up along to the shoulders to form each of the half-fronts. Once you’ve finished working the neckline, you continue working the front.
Back and front are then joined and knitted in the round, continuing with the lace pattern.
The stitches for the sleeves are picked up along the armholes side and worked in the round, seamlessly.

It’s a simple, pleasing project punctuated by the discreet, elegant blend of textured stitch and a very simple lace.
You can make a shorter version to wear at the waist, or imagine a short- or ¾-sleeve version.

Gauge
• 21 sts x 32 rows = 10x10 cm/ 4x4 inches of lace stitch pattern (chart A), knitted flat, after blocking.
• 21 sts x 32 rounds = 10x10 cm/ 4x4 inches of lace stitch pattern (chart D), in the round, after blocking.

Needles
• 4 mm US 6 circular needles for the body and sleeves or the needles size required to obtain the right gauge in Stockinette stitch.
• 3 mm US 2.5 circular needles for hem, cuffs and neckline.

Always use a needle size that gives you the right gauge, adjust if necessary.

Ostinato se tricote du haut vers le bas (top-down) sans couture dans un point de dentelle simple mêlant mailles endroit, envers. Vous commencez par tricoter les mailles le dos. Les mailles sont ensuite relevées le long de chaque épaule pour tricoter les demi-devants. Une fois les augmentations de l’encolure terminées, vous allez poursuivre le travail du devant.
Dos et devant sont ensuite assemblés et tricotés en circulaire en poursuivant le point de dentelle.
Les mailles des manches sont relevées et reprises aux épaules puis tricotées en circulaire.
C’est un projet simple et agréable rythmé par le discret et élégant mélange de point texturé et de dentelle.

Vous pouvez réaliser une version plus courte à porter à la taille ou imaginer une version manches courtes ou ¾.

Métrage

Échantillon 
• 21 mailles x 32 rangs en point de dentelle (diag. A) pour un carré tricoté de 10 cm par 10 cm après blocage.

Matériel 
• Aiguille circulaire en 4 mm ou de la taille nécessaire pour obtenir le bon échantillon.
• Aiguille circulaire en 3 mm pour les finitions des manches et de l’encolure.

Utilisez toujours une taille d’aiguille qui vous permet d’obtenir le bon échantillon, au besoin, ajustez-la.
