Othilie is a quick and simple cotton top, with a hint of puff shoulders and a subtle sweetheart neckline. I designed this because I wanted a summer-friendly hand-knitted wardrobe staple to go with all my skirts.

Despite the set-in-sleeve silhouette, the garment is worked seamlessly in the round, working the body and sleeves together in the round, and flat when shaping for the neckline.

I hope you will enjoy this pattern, and if you need any help, please do not hesitate to contact me in my Ravelry group ‘Skeindeer Knits’. It’s the best place for swift support.

Construction
The body and sleeves of this blouse are worked bottom-up, seamlessly in the round. At the underarms, the sleeves are joined together with the body, and decreases are worked along the faux sleeve seams.

Once the body decreases are completed, the garment is worked flat, to shape the subtle sweetheart neckline. Once the sleeve decreases are completed, the sleeve sts are reduced rapidly to form subtle puff shoulders.

Finally, some short-rows are worked to shape the shoulders and back neckline. Finish by binding shoulders together, and underarms together, and graft the remaining sleeve sts to the shoulders.
