Join in the advent calendar fun with this second Missoni-inspired cowl, named for Ottavio Missoni who was the colourist and pattern designer whose watercolour paintings and gouaches formed the basis of Missoni textiles.

This pattern is also a great way to use up small leftovers.

Note 1: This cowl was designed using Koigu ‘Minis’ which are labeled at 11 yds (10 m) each. Each stripe uses 8 yards/7 meters of yarn. On average, these skeins are longer than labeled. You will have yarn left from each of the minis. Looking for something to do with your leftover bits? Check out my bracelet patterns, Plaited Linen Cuff and Stacked Wraps.

Note 2: For my sample, I ran out of the MC ¼ of the way through the i-Cord bind-off. I chose to use another skein of the KPM I had of the same colour but you will have more than enough leftovers from the Koigu skeinettes, that you could easily use them up for the i-Cord rather than purchasing an additional full skein of Koigu KPM.
