Oui, Chérie was inspired by the paintings of the danish artist Asger Jorn. It is a sweater with a circular yoke with a
showstopping sequin detail at the shoulders inspired mostly by the paintings “Oui, Chérie” and “Untitled C”! It is
super fun to knit, and its innovative sequin colorwork motif creates a unique textured effect! The style is what I like
to call, a “petite boxy” shape, where the body has a certain amount of positive ease (not as much as a traditional
boxy top) with fitted sleeves. I must say that this “petite boxy” is one of my very favorite styles, because it dresses
beautifully in any body type! Oui, Chérie is one of the patterns from the Sparkly Eyes and Warm Heart Collection, a
collaboration with HandDyed Yarns by Charlotte Spagner! I hope you have a great knitting time and enjoy wearing
your Oui, Chérie sweater!

Notes
This sweater is seamless, worked in the round from the top down.
The yoke is worked circular. At each shoulder, there is a Sequin stitch motif. On the pattern, there are directions to
add special markers between this group of chart repetitions.
Change to longer length circulars while working the yoke, when needed.
There are 6 charts to make each shoulder sequin motif. Follow the Yoke Chart to make the other parts of the yoke.
Stitch marker is positioned at the middle / center of the back, except for the sizes 1 (_, _, 4, 5) (_, 7, _, _) / 34 (_ ,
_, 45¼, 49¼) (_, 57¼, _, _)” / 86.5 (_, _, 115, 125) (_, 146, _, _) cm, that will be off by one chart repetition. After ending the 41 rounds of the Yoke Charts, they will be repositioned to the center back.
The back neck is shaped with short rows for a better fit. The directions indicate the Wrap & Turn method;
however, you can use your favorite method to work the short rows!
The sleeves are worked circular from the top down.
To avoid underarm holes, the directions indicate pick up and k1 st on the row below the diagonal line formed
between the body casted on stitches and the sleeve stitches that were on hold.
