This pattern contains instructions for knitting a cowl for Knitting LIVE! by Vogue Knitting, New York City, January 2020. It has been produced by the Diversity Advisory Council (DAC) whose members have each selected one of the motifs used, based on some aspect of our work together. The different motifs were sourced and adapted from Vogue Knitting Stitchionary Volume 3: Color Knitting. The final cowl charts incorporate Mountain Lake, Walk This Way, Morocco, Go Your Own Way, Houndstooth, Thames, Maze and Making Waves and the reason for each person’s selection is shared along with their chart. Knit a duotone version using two shades from start to finish, or make each section in different colors as your budget, stash and personal preferences allow. The DAC enthusiastically encourages you, if buying yarn for this project, to support BIPOC-owned businesses.
