’Haps’ were originally designed by Shetland Islanders to keep their shoulders and upper bodies warm and their arms free. A work-wear garment. My inspiration for this pattern came from this idea.
You finish with a kitchener st so there is no real front or back. Can be worn many ways.
Use heavier wool and larger needles to make larger size, same pattern. Reverse works too, finer wool, smaller needles.
With all of my patterns you do go on journey. You will come to a place where you can’t see exactly where you’re going. Trust the pattern and carry on!
