This is a fun, beginners crochet pattern, for making pretty oval placemats. You can crochet a set of these table mats for your home or make them as a gift for someone special !!!

The pattern works well with one colour or more and with or without decoration rounds, whichever you prefer.

Placemat size is about: Length 13.8 inches, width 13.2 inches (about 35 X 33.5 cm).

1. Detailed step by step photo tutorial.
2. File without pictures for printing the pattern.

Both are written in US English terms.
It is a good idea to familiarize yourself with the pattern by following the photo tutorial first.
The printable version is best used when you already know the pattern.

A basic knowledge of crochet techniques and stitches is required.

Materials

1. Yarns: Paintbox Yarns Simply Aran, 100 gr. and Paintbox Yarns Simply DK, 100 gr. (the exact amounts are detailed in the pattern). Of course, you can use different yarn brands with similar weights.
2. Size 4mm (Metric) G/6 (US) crochet hook.
3. Tapestry needle.
4. Scissors.
5. Stitch markers (optional).
