Oval Rug

From the back cover: “Ragging is simply crocheting with fabric. In the olden days rags were used, but in this century we use continual 3” strips of new fabric and a big jumbo crochet hook. There is No sewing, No braiding, No counting and No difficult patterns to follow. Make beautiful reversible rugs, baskets, wreaths, casserole carriers and much more. The items have a braided - knotted look…”

Material: “Fabric: Hooked on Rugs’ fabric (cotton, cotton-polyester blends) is rolled on spools and is anywhere from 2” to 4” wide and up to 250 yards in length. Both solids and printed fabrics are available. One pound of fabric is equivalent to 4 yards of fabric (45” wide). An average basket takes approximately 1 lb and an average rug takes approximately 4 lbs.”
