The Overlander Wrap celebrates the connection between places and the people who call them home. With a long rectangular shape reminiscent of changing paths or the ticking of tracks, it easily encircles your neck, however you prefer to wear it. I love how colours play together in this design, and you can go as wild or subtle with them as you like! Enjoy a variety of slip and textured stitches that will keep you engaged throughout the project, and watch how quickly your wrap knits up in DK weight yarn.

FINISHED DIMENSIONS
Approximately 165cm (65”) long and 32cm (12 ½“) wide, relaxed after blocking.

YARN
Wren & Ollie Spin DK (100% Merino; 200m {219yds}/115g)

1 skein Main Colour (MC): Truffle (taupe)
1 skein Contrast Colour 1 (CC1): Enchanted (pink speckles)
1 skein Contrast Colour 2 (CC2): Juniper (pink)
1 skein Contrast Colour 3 (CC3): Nymph (yellow speckles)

Or 4x100–115g skeins of DK weight yarn. Sample used approximately:
83g (144m {158yds}) of MC,
99g (172m {189yds}) of CC1,
84g (146m {160yds}) of CC2 and
82g (143m {156yds}) of CC3.

You can use whichever yarns you wish for this wrap, but if you would like assistance picking colours that work well together it is recommended you choose one dark solid, one light solid, and two speckled yarns all from within the same colour family. Make sure your CC2 (dark solid) has some contrast with both your CC1 and CC3 (speckles) if you would like to achieve bold patterning, otherwise the overall striping effect will be more subtle.

NEEDLES & NOTIONS

17.5 stitches x 42 rows = 10cm (4”) in Pattern Stitch on smaller (4mm {US 6}) needle, knit flat and relaxed after blocking.

NOTE
You can easily adjust the length of your wrap to utilize scraps or maximize the use of full skeins by working more or less pattern repeats than specified in each section. Make sure that for each section worked your don’t use more than 25% of your MC, 50% of your CC1, and 33% of your CC2 if you intend to use the same colours throughout. Also note that as written, the pattern uses approximately 50% of a skein of CC3 for Section C and 30% for the applied icord edging – the longer your wrap, the more yarn you will need for this edging.
