We had the honor of being asked to design a shawl for our LYS Hippy Strings who put on a wonderful knitting retreat at the Overlander Lodge in Jasper, Alberta.

This Asymetrical triangle can be knit with one Main Color and 5 mini skeins or 2 full skeins of fingering weight yarn. We suggest choosing yarns that have fairly high contrast so that you get the full effect of the Slip stitch burlap pattern that runs throughout!

The shawls shown in the pictures are knit using a mini skein set from both Gingersnap and Red Fox Fibres and used approx. a total of 860 yards and would make a great adventurous beginner shawl and is also interesting enough for an advanced knitter.

For needles you will need a 3.75mm (US 5) with approx. a 30-40” cord (or straights)

We are running an Overlander knit a long (KAL) over in our Cozy UP Knits group on Ravelry from May 5, 2019- June 30, 2019. Would love to see you over there!

Thank you so much for checking out our pattern! You can find our weekly knitting podcast, as well as some pattern discussions and tutorials for some of our other patterns on our Cozy Up Knits You tube channel.

Happy Knitting!
