Overmitts, that’s what these are! Here in Michigan no matter how many mittens I knit I always want another layer of protection for my hands in these Midwest winters of ours. Knit with a deep cuff and generous sizing to wear over another pair of mittens these have fun country flair. Embroidery done after the mittens are completed adds a little punch to these big comfy mitts. Knitting them as a mismatched pair just makes them even more fun to wear. I just used a little bit of Wharf for the contrast color on the cuff. Any aran weight yarn would work for this project. Add a bit of embroidery in any free form design of your choosing or leave it off if so desired.
