Overskåret is knitted in Mashdale from Filcolana and is built around the contrast between solid colour and stripes. The back and sleeves are knitted in a single colour, while the front and sleeves are striped. This creates a distinct line running all the way around the sweater, as if it has been cut in two – and this is where Overskåret gets its name.

The sweater is knitted in half fisherman’s rib with twisted knit stitches, creating a simple yet lively texture.

The front and back are knitted separately in one piece together with the sleeves. In other words, the sleeves are knitted directly onto the body, so in the end there are only two large pieces to sew together: across the sleeve and shoulder, and underneath the sleeve and along the side. It is a slightly unusual construction that creates a striking transition between the two colour expressions.

The shoulders are gently sloped using short rows, and all edges are finished with an i-cord, giving a clean and crisp finish.
